Greg Tilbrook to manage AWN's Wool business in WA

By AWN

AWN Chief Operating Officer, Rick Maybury, today announced the appointment of Greg Tilbrook as manager of AWN’s wool business in Western Australia.

Mr Maybury said that Mr Tilbrooks’s appointment will bring the experience required to make the greenfields operation a success.

“We are very pleased to announce Greg’s appointment as manager of AWN’s wool business in the West,” Mr Maybury said.

“Greg experience as a wool broker and manager is an asset to our business and more importantly, to that of our clients in the West. At AWN, we have built our business on offering clients both traditional and innovative marketing options and there is great opportunity for us to add value to our client’s businesses across Western Australia.”

In taking up the position with AWN, Mr Tilbrook said “AWN has given me the opportunity to keep doing what I love, looking after passionate wool growers and maximising their returns. I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead but what AWN can bring to WA is impressive and I can’t wait to get wool growers excited about growing wool.”

The announcement of Mr Tilbrook’s appointment with AWN follows that of Don Morgan, who AWN announced last week had taken up the position of livestock manager with AWN in Western Australia.

AWN, Australia’s largest independent wool broker and rapidly growing rural services business, recently announced their expansion into Western Australia under the AWN brand. AWN have operated in the West since 2008, when it acquired a majority shareholding in local wool brokers, Dyson Jones, under which name it continues to trade. The two business will work side by side, supporting clients across Western Australia.

In recent years, AWN have also expanded heavily into wool manufacturing and retailing, ag tech services and livestock and property agency.
