This week I have heard from a few people that some Vessel's carrying MAP and DAP are being turned back, as the product on board has not been pre-sold, and they aren't willing to risk being stuck with it, and there is only so much storage available.
It has also been suggested that only 10% (approx.) of the required MAP & DAP has been sold compared to this time last year which would have been 60-70% (approx.).
With this in mind, if you haven't locked in your MAP and or DAP yet, now is the time to do so to ensure you don't miss out. The AP prices are at $1125.00 - $1170.00 + GST per tonne, with prices staying firm.
We expect to see the Urea price continue to fall, with the current price at $935.00 + GST per tonne. A number of people have suggested that it still has at least another $100 to drop.
If you haven't already, please subscribe to our weekly fertiliser text by sending "Fert Text" to 0418137224. After a couple of weeks away, these will restart on 6th Feb 2023.
