Lamb supply decreased to 3,952 yarded with limited numbers across all weights and grades, quality varied from plain to very good. Most of the usual buying group attended and operated in a stronger market to a week ago. Most categories averaged $5 to $10 dearer and in places to $15/head better.

Light lambs under 18kg cwt to suit MK orders to the trade sold from $70 to $123/head. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg made from $123 to $176, lambs 22 to 24kg sold from $165 to $191, lambs 24 to 26kg made from $173 to $190/head, with a wide average range of 680c to 730c/kg cwt. Heavy export lambs 26 to 30kg made from $190 to $220 and over 30kg sold from $234 to $252/head, with an average of 700c to 720/kg cwt.

Sheep numbers increased to 3,030 penned of mixed quality ranging from plain to good. More processors were on the rail bidding as competition was stronger overall the market ended to $6/head dearer. Merino wethers made from $132 to $174/head. Merino ewes sold from $58 to $192 and heavy crossbred mutton made $134 to $226/head with mutton averaging 550c to 610c/kg across the yarding.
