AWN announces appointment Don Morgan as Livestock manager of WA business

By AWN

AWN Chief Operating Officer, Rick Maybury, today announced the appointment of Don Morgan as manager of AWN’s livestock agency in Western Australia.

Mr Maybury said that Mr Morgan’s appointment represented the first step in building a livestock agency network in Western Australia.

“We are pleased to announce Don’s appointment with AWN. Don’s extensive experience in livestock agency across the state will be an asset to our business and more importantly, that of our clients,” Mr Maybury said.

“Livestock agency is an important and rapidly growing part of our business in the East and we are looking forward to being able to offer our livestock services to clients across the Western state.”

In taking up the position with AWN, Mr Morgan said “I am looking forward to be taking on a new challenge in establishing AWN’s livestock business in Western Australia. Whilst the AWN name is new to the West, it has an excellent reputation with clients in the Eastern states and I am very pleased to be part of this new venture.”

AWN, Australia’s largest independent wool broker and rapidly growing rural services provider, recently announced its expansion into Western Australia under the AWN brand. The business has operated in the West since 2008, when it acquired a majority shareholding in local wool brokers, Dyson Jones, under which name it continues to trade.

Founded in 1999 as a specialist wool business, AWN has expanded its livestock and property agency operations in recent years. Mr Morgan’s appointment with AWN is the latest in a series of expansion activities undertaken by the Australian-owned business, who recently acquired a successful livestock business and established a greenfields livestock branch, both in Victoria.
