All roads lead to Canberra - Farmers (and others) from all over Australia will converge on Canberra this week to protest about the government’s renewable energy push.

We have seen many localised Farmer groups oppose things like wind towers, large power lines, solar Farms, etc, but this is a collective of all those groups to have their voice heard on all these matters mentioned above. The push to net zero by 2050 means the government wants to go into full renewable energy mode by then. They need to push all these projects through quickly to get the traction they need, but this is angering Farmers and Rural people in general.

We wrote in the past how we think many of these projects are flawed and will end up costing our nation billions.

Farmers see these things as a blight on the countryside, they restrict the ability for them to Farm the way they want and they fear these projects have very short lifespans. We totally support this protest and wish the Farmers all the very best in their plight. Are you going to Canberra this week to protest? Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
