US$800 billion will be needed on top of existing investment levels for Asia to feed itself sustainably over the next 10 years, a study by PwC, Temasek and Rabobank has found. This comes as spending on food in the region is expected to double to US$8 trillion by 2030, with 250 million more mouths to feed in the same time. Report briefing at Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Week highlighted the four key components required for successful investment and innovation hubs across the region.
