A couple of hours with Peter -- We had an interesting couple of hours in Shepparton (Vic) with Peter Law. We wrote about Peter the other day as an unheralded Ag entrepreneur. Peter spoke at our Business of Farming event the other day, and he does pack a lot of information into a very short period of time.

One of the things I did learn at the event was, and I think it was from Nigel Kerin who said it. "If you can't work something out, seek out someone and ask them". It could be a mentor, a person of prominence in that field or someone you respect. 

So that's what we did with Peter, he has years of experience in the Ag Retail sector, and we sought him out on an idea we had. We got some good answers, but it was just a great couple of hours of learnings from someone that's been there and done that.

Educating yourself is something that should be infinite. Working on solutions to problems on the Farm is ongoing, and it doesn't hurt to seek a second opinion. What I find is people in Ag are generous and will spend time helping people solve problems. But you have to ask. If you don't ask, you don't receive.
