10,000 is the new 5,000 - We have noticed recently that Farmers are buying higher houred Tractors. It's an interesting scenario, and it points to a little trend we are seeing where some Farmers are shying away from buying new and looking more at the second hand market.

There is a bit of a protest vote happening with the price of new Machinery and how there have been exponential rises in the last couple of years.

We also see a trend of Farmers making the decision to hold on to Tractors for long periods of time and get more use out of them. Hence, the headline 10,000 hours is the new 5,000 hours.

Another little trend we are seeing is that they are going for the older models more, the ones that are more simple to operate and fix. They are using these Tractors for non-core jobs like connecting to a Chaser Bin, Augers, a Feed Mixer, Hay Rakes, as a Front End Loader run about, etc. They will buy providing the Tractor is in good order. This also applies to other Farm Machinery and Equipment. 2 questions. Are you considering keeping your Farm Machinery a little longer? Have you decided, or are you deciding to stop buying new?
