The reason Elgra use hard self lubricated Nylon for their Guide Blocks, as this allows the extending rails not to require any form of lubrication. This eliminates dust and grim build up over a short period of time.

Here at ELGRA we have designed and manufactured a state of the art robust Hydraulic Percussion Post Driver to outperform all other Post Drivers.

Due to ElGra’s clever design, the benefit of having a Hydraulic Percussion head, its always in contact with the object that you are putting into the ground, this makes it safer on hilly terrain even on flat ground or slightly undulating land.

The only time the tamper pad in the Hydraulically Percussion post driver is off the post , is when the post is being placed under it or moving to the next post.

The main Power Head ram has an adjustable valve, this allows you to set different pressures on the head. With the Power Head Series, once you activate the lever you get continuous hits from 450-950bpm, this will depend on the oil flow that is being delivered.

The Power Head Series also comes with hands free Hydraulic Auger Swing into the drill position.

ElGra is the only manufacturer that offers Hydraulic down force on the Auger drill at no extra cost. They are the only company that offers this.

The Elgra Hydraulic Percussion Post Driver guides the post by the guide plates, this removes the risk of having to use a chain and crow bar that the old free fall hammer use and still use today.

When comparing the efficiency and risks involved in a free fall hammer, due to a heavy counter weight Hydraulically being propelled up and free falls down it spends majority of its time off than on the object being placed into the ground.

By having a heavy counter weight suspended above the ground and not in contact with a post, unlike the Series 89 Power head this makes the free fall hammers extremely unstable.

All Elgra Nylon blocks are made from tough, wear resistant plastic that combines an incredibly low coefficient of friction with outstanding impact strength. This self-lubricating polymer has excellent chemical resistance and a broad temperature range

By using the above material in the Elgra range this eliminates the need to grease or lubricate, which once again is going to save wear and tear
