Young, Friendly Silkie Bantams - Last seasons 2023 Hens. Some lovely colours to choose from!
Silkies are a shy, docile poultry breed whom are very easy to keep. Smaller eggs due to being bantams, but still great tasting eggs! They have all been born in a humane, open free range environment here at our not for profit poultry and goat sanctuary in Berriwillock Vic. They are guarded at night by their fearless Maremma flock guardians! Wormed regularly.
Diet: Natural insect/seed forage, soybean meal, Showbird pellets, soft semi-fermented wheat, cooked vegetables, fresh fruit. Favourite snacks: Watermelon, corn, sunflower seeds, cake and soaked bread.
We also have plenty of roosters available but please avoid purchasing a rooster unless you live permanently on AGRICULTURAL ZONED LAND.. If purchasing a rooster, proof of land zoning will be required. Please note that we retain our roosters here indefinitely and we do not accept external surrenders of roosters to us.
