Benefits:
• With the Universal Feeder’s saliva lick feeding system livestock use their tongue and saliva to draw feed out from between two plates.
• When the animal’s tongue goes into the groove, the feed that sticks to
their tongue is the ration that they can consume. The saliva decreases with progressive licks until the animal is unable to obtain any more feed.
• Livestock will leave the feeder once they are unable to obtain more feed, enabling other animals to have their turn.
• The age and the breed of the livestock are both factors which affect the calibration of the feeder. For this reason Universal Feeders supply a guide for the initial calibration; however the most accurate rates will be achieved through self-calibration.

With Universal Feeders Original feeding system one plate (adjuster) determines the height and another adjuster determines the width of the feed available. Both adjusters are accessed from within the feeding area.
• The patent pending ULTIMATE SERIES uses one plate to control both the height and the width of the feed available and all changes are made from outside the feeding area.
