HG Maintenance pellets are designed to Maintain Sheep and cattle where pasture is not adequate to meet their nutritional needs. These pellets contain a mix of ingredients that is balanced to meet the needs of the following class of stock: dry sheep, wethers, pregnant ewes in early to mid-gestation, rams, Steers, Dry and pregnant Cows up to mid-gestation, and non-working Bulls. It is also a safe feed to feed to other ruminant animals, but not recommended for horses.
HG Maintenance pellets contain relatively high fibre levels, which ensures that acidosis is not at play within your livestock and that a healthy gut is maintained.
These pellets include a quality Vitamin/mineral pre-mix along with a buffer included. Fibre is from a number of soluble fibre sources; oats, almond hulls and DGM.
HG Starter Pellets has been formulated with one other parameter in mind, Palatability, this is a quality that is often forgotten in formulation but is important to ensure that “shy feeders” are encouraged to feed. The palatability is achieved by the use of a unique blend of quality palatable ingredients that suits a wide variety of livestock.
Harwood Grains recommends ensuring that livestock have adequate clean water and a long fiber source such as hay, straw or silage at all times to supplement pellet feed
