PROTEC PLUS Spray Adjuvent

Protec Plus spray adjuvant is a blend of esterified canola oil and non-ionic surfactants that when combined
with your chemical applications, enhances their performance.

Why use Protec Plus?
By adding Protec Plus to sprays, more spray droplets reach the weed, coverage is more even, and wetting and
sticking is improved, with greater chemical retained on the leaf especially when rain, irrigation or dew is likely.
With this improved retention, plus greater penetration into the leaf, the plant’s defenses are defeated, and full
control is achieved.

Rainfast within minutes
By improving wetting, sticking and penetration of the spray, Protec Plus makes spray applications rainfast
within minutes. Trials show that even after 50mm of rainfall only 20 minutes after application, glyphosate
with Protec Plus added at 500mL per 100L of spray mix gave 98% control compared to significant loss
of efficacy with other adjuvants. See Figure 1.

Reduces evaporation & drift
By aiding formation of uniformly sized droplets and eliminating fine droplets, Protec Plus helps to
get a greater spray percentage reaching the target, minimizing off target drift. By encapsulating
the droplets, the oil also reduces evaporation and loss of droplets.

Decreases Odour
By encapsulating the spray droplet with the oil component, Protec Plus helps to decrease odours.

Easy to mix
Mixes instantaneously and does not require pre-mixing or continuous agitation. May be used with all methods of spray application. Add to spray tank last as per label directions. No special equipment is necessary.

Compatibility
Protec Plus is non-phytotoxic at recommended rates and is compatible with most commonly applied chemicals including herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other foliar sprays.
