Concerns for the Small Bale Hay Market

We have been selling plenty of the Compressed Eco Bales on pallets out of the "Prime" Ag Centre in Elmore. Small Bales and Compressed Eco Bales keep the hobby Farmer market going and there is a real shortage right now, and it's concerning for those with less than a handful of animals to feed. We have been sending Semi and B Double loads into the Sydney and Hunter Valley areas.

As far as the bulk market is concerned we marked all Cereal Hay and Straw up in prices for the fortnight just gone. Good Vetch Hay is scarce, so we have kept our quotes at a conservative level even though some are getting a higher prices.

Demand is still pretty solid

Concerns are still front and centre with the season, only Southern Victoria, South East of SA and part of Western Australia are reporting any real surety in the season
