Melrose Merino and Poll Merino Stud, Nurrabiel, Vic held their on-property sale on Wednesday.

47 of the 48 Rams entered sold to an average of $1644, some $600 up on last year.

Top priced Ram was bought by Ron Anderson, Avoca, Vic for $3300. Volume buyers included Beveridge Agriculture with 7 at an average of $1714 and Ethandune Partnership who also took home 7 Rams at an average of $1000

The sale grossed $77,268
