Leading Australian AgTech company, The Yield Technology Solutions, announced today that it has been selected in the 2020 THRIVE TOP 50 scaling and visionary AgTech companies.

Shortlisted from 3000 global technology companies, the list highlights 50 companies that ‘exemplify the best in agriculture and food technology around the world’.

Selected companies were advised today following months of detailed research and analysis by the THRIVE & SVG Ventures team, and in collaboration with EY, Corteva, Land O’Lakes, Driscoll Berries, Kubota, Taylor Farms, Trimble, Yamaha Motors, and others.

The THRIVE Top 50 Report highlights 50 growth stage companies from around the world that are pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology in agriculture. Top 50 start-ups are scouted for exemplary leadership, technology, and traction, and selected based on alignments with specific organisational criteria and industry pain points outlined by corporate partners.

The TOP 50 Report compiles data from SVG Ventures’ start-up network and supplementary industry data to identify 50 companies that have raised a minimum of a Series A funding round, have recently fundraised as well as have a product in market.

The final 50 companies are categorised into six main technology categories: Biotechnology, Connected Devices, Cloud Services/Saas, Robotics & Automation, Next-Gen Farms, and Big Data & Analytics - and seven problem areas: Health & Nutrition, Labour, Farm Management, Environmental Sustainability, Food Safety, Traceability, and e-Commerce. The Yield is categorised under Big Data & Analytics and Farm Management on the TOP 50 list.

On 25th March 2020, Ros Harvey, will attend the annual THRIVE Innovation Summit at Santa Clara University, Silicon Valley with an official THRIVE TOP 50 announcement to be delivered by keynote, Stephen Censky, US Deputy Secretary of Agriculture.

The event convenes top leaders, investors, start-ups, and scaleups in the AgTech & Foodtech space and will be a great opportunity to engage with leaders of Fortune 500 food and agriculture corporations scouting for the latest disruptive technologies.
