1830 Air seeder, converted from trike pull to “A” frame pull – backable! 4 primary hoses, 8 heads, zero-max infinitely variable rates. Restrictors allow canola to be sown down to 1.5kg/ha accurately. Ground drive, hydraulic fan, monitors. Electronic weigh scales for calibration.

Gason Cultimaster 5100 -

Set up on 233mm tyne spacing [9 3/16”] – 47 sowing tynes covering 10.95 mtrs or 36 ft. The frame will take more tynes at 7” spacing, can also be taken out to 12” spacing. [12” would use the full 40ft frame width.] Frame is the wide centre model with [currently] 25 tynes, and 11 tynes on each wing. Tynes are 230ft/lb breakout, fitted with spear points [tungsten] on two bolt fittings, and alternate ‘wedge’ clamps, bolts and points are included . 11” sweeps, 4.5 inch tillage points and McCoy Superseeder 12mm points [tungsten faced] go with the machine.

The machine has been used in direct drill operations and can go through the heaviest stubbles if straw is short – either cut low by the header, approx. 9 – 10 inches, or ‘topped’ by other means.

Eight seeder heads are used, 7 – 6 outlet, and 1 – 5 outlet. Four primary hoses go to splitters for the eight heads. Distribution hoses are smooth PVC – and a part coil of replacement hose goes with the machine. Seeder boots have been modified with a deflection plate, so seed goes in on an angle behind the opening point, staying at an even depth.

Gason 1830 Air Seeder -

Original ‘trike’ pull has been converted to an “A” frame pull, allowing the unit, which is tow behind, to be backed under truck filling spouts. In operation, similar to backing a b-double, whereas it was impossible to back the original design!

Four primary hoses fed by an hydraulically driven fan, with monitors for fan speed, air pressure, shaft speed on both bins, low bin warning as well as ground speed and area functions. Drive boxes are ‘Zero-max’ infinitely variable, and the sampling technique for rate setting of seed and super is extremely accurate. With restrictors on the metering wheels, canola can be accurately sown down to 1.5kg/ha on the 36 ft width.

Monitors have ample cable length, with connectors at rear of tractor, and rear of cultivator. Work lights on the bin, switch in tractor cab.

Bin capacity approx. 1.5 tonne of wheat, and 2 tonne MAP [1700 ltr each].

Simple clean out achieved by dropping the cover plate under the metering wheels, and unlatching a feed plate – ½ minute job!.
