Description
This auger was custom made for us by Grainline for a tad less than $10k. It features a 10HP motor three phase motor and has German ball races top bottom and centre. It is designed to operate orizontally or vertically of any angle in between and vertical it can move 25 tonne in 40 minutes. It can load far more when mounted at smaller angles.
No expense was spared in making the auger and even the bottom bearing plate was specially made with double the normal thickness.
Alas, we changed direction after we received the auger and have never used it. Dang. Your gain our loss!
Your chanve to pick up a really great auger. First it is super quiet. Almost silent..because of the three cast bearing housings. It does not clank and clunk and grind like most augers..
Oh, and it swivels halfway so you can get it to face any angle you want.... a very handy thing. ANd is is also made so you can insert an additional piece midway if you want a longer auger...
We had it mounted to the side of a silo and this meant we did not have to use a massive yard auger as this auger sat snug against the side of the silo.
